Spraying Kitchens

Photo of kitchen that has just had it's cupboard doors sprayed grey
A lot of people would like the idea of a new and free kitchen cabinet but this is the real world where everything costs money and kitchen cabinets don’t come cheap nowadays. However, instead of replacing it, you might be thinking of giving it a new look and spray paint it into a new colour. That is why you should call UPVC Spraying Swansea right now and ask about the details and the cost of our UPVC spraying Wales team to paint your kitchen.

Preparations
You don’t want to use spray cans to paint your whole cabinet as they are extremely expensive and don’t even do the whole job. You can either buy or rent a spray painter or I would advise hiring a company like ours to do the job for you. During the preparation, you want to make sure you have all the tools you’re going to need. Make sure to cover with paper or sheet plastic all the areas that are not going to be painted. You also need to make sure to remove the parts of the cabinet and paint them elsewhere, one, because you don’t want your kitchen to smell like paint and two because it is so much better for the process and for the paint to take place.

Disassembling
Using a screwdriver you want to take the cabinet to pieces. You are going to need zip locker bags to have a place where you are going to keep all the screws and make a note on all of them. Disassemble all the cabinets parts that are going to be painted before you start the process and make sure to spray paint them separately and give each of them their own time and process. This way you make sure to achieve symmetric painting as well as a good looking cabinet after you’re done.

Clean and Sand
Use soapy water to clean all the surfaces that you are going to paint. You do this to make sure that any kind of dirt or dust is off the surfaces when you start painting. You also want to remove any type of grease that the cabinet doors might have. Then rub the cabinet with a clean cloth to dry it out. Use normal sandpaper to sand the surfaces but be careful to not use too much pressure. After sanding the surfaces clean them again to remove any built-up dust and then you are ready to start with the painting process.

Paint
Choose from a variety of colours that we have to make the perfect cabinet for you. Make sure to use the right type of paint, and we think the best one is the paint that takes 12 hours of a  break before the second coat of paint. The reason for this is because this paint is going to hold on longer and is going to be more resistant to scratches or damages. Spray paint the surfaces one time and then let them dry out and then apply the second coat.
